Saul Alinsky's Rule #5 Is Used to Demean Masculinity

In dealing with attacks on masculinity, it is critical to understand the tactics of the leftists. If you think that the people attempting to demean and demolish traditional masculinity are not organized, you are a fool. They work in concert through social media, public speeches, written online publications, academia, and other influential sources. When I see what they are saying and how they are delivering their message, it is clear that they are not only organized, but they are using Saul Alinsky’s Rule #5 from his book “Rules for Radicals.”

Saul Alinsky is known for his work within the poor neighborhoods in Chicago during the ’40s, ’50s, ’60s, and 70’s where he was a community organizer for poverty-stricken citizens; however, Alinsky was a communist, and it showed in the way he tried to improve life for his followers. Instead of helping poor residents take control of their own lives, he was an agitator who believed that the government should control poor living conditions.

Alinsky found 12 specific tactics that worked the best for his goals, and the left is still using them over 50 years later.

Rule #5 is currently used to belittle, degrade and disparage men and masculinity at large. The rule says, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”

While there are men who understand the importance of masculinity and what it means to be a man with a traditional outlook on life, some do not. There are also young impressionable minds in middle schools, high schools, and colleges across the country full of guys who have not been taught real masculinity due to a lack of exposure.

The radical leftists know millions of impressionable boys/young men whose minds can be molded to carry out their agenda like Manchurian candidates; therefore, they lie about us, traditional men.

Radical leftism takes Alinsky’s fifth rule and uses it to put men down in a way that makes it seem “old fashioned” or “sexist” or “misogynist” or “pointless” or “disgusting” or “oppressive” or “scary,” and the list goes on.

Leftist ridicule masculinity and make it seem as if it is not needed anymore. They send out a message that intends to change us via disparagements to soften who we are so that there is little to no resistance. However, they realize the conversion rate will not likely be too high with older and more resolute men in their masculinity. But there are younger men.

Guys who are younger or do not have a strong masculine influence in their lives are much more susceptible to radical leftist ridicule and the anti-traditional masculine movement; leftists know this. They use contempt to create an abstract idea that being a traditional man is bad, and if you are one, you are part of the problem.

Few people want to be ridiculed, especially those who are already insecure. Many can’t handle the criticism, so they change for the sake of peace and ease, but that is dangerous. Why does this work? Because there are weak guys and not enough men willing to stand up.

As men, we must repeat MUST, deflect the attacks and Alinsky style ridicule to preserve masculinity and go on the offensive. Sons must be taught about the importance of traditional masculinity. Grown men who did not grow up mentally need to seek out masculinity as designed.

We have to call out the left and their tactics – in this case, Alinsky’s rule to ridicule the opposition. Simply put, a concession is not an option.

As always, stay toxic to the left’s agenda.
