Some Guys Need To Grow Up

There are too many adult males who insist they are men. They put too much focus on things that do not matter while ignoring people in their life that do. Too many guys have neglected one thing that is important for themselves, their families, and those around them: masculinity. An essential part of a masculine man is protection. I talk about it a lot because it is of the utmost importance. However, masculinity is not held to an age. When a guy turns 18 or 21, they do not magically become filled with masculinity. Some have to mature mentally, and their masculine traits are not developed into their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s or later. However, the masculine quality of protection can come as early as the age of six – like in the case of Bridger Walker.

In Wyoming, Bridger and his four-year-old sister Nicole were at a friend’s house when a Shepard mix approached them. The canine began to show signs of aggression, and Bridger stood between his sister and the dog. While he was shielding his sister, the dog leaped and latched onto his face. Both of the children were able to escape, but Bridger ended up with 90 stitches.

Bridger told his family,” If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”

Wow.

Bridger is a hero. He is a six-year-old boy willing to give his life for someone more vulnerable and weaker than him. A boy was prepared to face death to save his sister. This little man exudes the masculine spirit I mention. He is an example of what it means to be unselfish and at such a young age.

The actions of Bridger are incredible on the surface. But think about the courage inside. Think about the guts and heart he had to stand in the face of this dog. He did not run away and abandon his sister. Real men do not run away from responsibility, uncertain times, or danger. They stand up.

There are far too many adult males in this world and too few Bridgers. He is full of the “toxic masculinity” that the left says is dangerous. I do not know if Bridger’s dad is already teaching him how to be masculine and what it means to be a man, but it won’t be hard for him to learn.

Too many guys run when unexpected events occur. They flee their responsibilities. There is no masculine drive within them, which is dangerous. It is detrimental to them, others around them, and especially any close family member.

It is time for those men who have not captured their masculinity to grow up. Some may make an excuse that it is too late – that is a cop-out. An internal lie to avoid responsibility. Our masculine spirit is the most important thing we have to offer to our wife and children.

Bridger Walker is more masculine than some guys in their 40’s, which puts them to shame. It is never to late to grow up.

As always, stay toxic to the left’s agenda.
