Saul Alinsky Rule #9 Against Traditional Masculinity
What does it mean to be a man? I mean a real man – dangerous, lover, provider, protector, adventurer, competitor. These are some of the masculine attributes that built countries, settled lands, built societies, and maintained peace and order. Through our history, we have seen attacks on societies and culture. Saul Alinsky, noted radial leftist organizer, developed rules for an ideological change, and they are still used today. However, now traditional masculinity is in it’s crosshairs.
An article I read about "toxic masculinity" stated that traditional masculine norms are obsolete and need to be flushed from society and our culture.
The article said that it is up to the individual to figure out their "own definition of masculinity," which was confusing. In one paragraph, the writer stated that a form of masculinity was okay, but another was not; however, figure out your own definition, but if that did not meet their standards, you could not be that particular form of masculinity. See how convoluted the left makes it? That allows them to say," all right, this (traditional manliness) is not working, so we must remake what it means to be a man. Here is our definition. It is the correct way. If you disagree, then you are a sexist, misogynist." This tactic allows them to rewrite masculinity into a sad, pathetic guy trampled daily and has no values.
Leftists hate traditional manliness. It stands in their way of accomplishing their ideological takeover. There is no way to destroy it because leftism is weak; it is shallow; it is feckless; it is baseless. The purveyors of leftism know this. So, what do they do? Make up a narrative that says traditional masculinity is dangerous, and it needs to be eliminated and "remade with something new."
Saul Alinsky was a dangerous radical leftist who began his community (communist) activism in 1938 and continued well into the 1960s. During this time, he wrote the book "Rules for Radicals" – a book covering 12 rules for attacking political enemies. Rule #9 is this: "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."
Rule #9 has been attached to traditional masculinity. Progressives say that traditional masculinity is harmful to young boys. They make baseless claims that their dad hurts young boys if they are told not to cry or keep their emotions in control or be tough. An article, or threat, from Parent Map says that teaching boys to keep their emotions in check leads to "depression, conduct disorders, isolation, problematic relationships, and violence."
Do you see it? If you teach your son traditional masculine norms of being in control of their emotions, he will become a depressed, isolated guy who has the potential to carry out violence against others. However, they have no evidence for these claims, only what they heard in school from their radical leftist professor or like-minded colleague in the teacher's lounge.
To change masculinity, it must be a threat to others. We see the left using Saul Alinsky's ninth rule for radical change against traditional masculinity. First, they call it old and antiquated, then follow up their made-up claims with the threats.
Traditional masculinity is valuable. It builds boys who turn into men who create families, businesses, cities, and societies where many have prospered. Progressive masculinity has nothing to offer. It keeps guys from becoming men and fulfilling their desire to lead, protect, fight, and provide for those he watches over – his family. When a man accomplishes all those things, he feels a sense of accomplishment like no other.
As always, stay toxic to the left's agenda.
